The DSCSA, signed into law in 2013, is designed to track and trace prescription drugs distributed in the U.S. from the manufacturer all the way to the point of dispensing to the patient. In August 2023, the Food and Drug Administration announced a one-year “stabilization period” for DSCSA requirements that became effective Nov. 27, 2023.
