How are the $835M (All Funds) savings achieved through the KanCare program?
According to agency officials, the savings in Kansas will be achieved:
by reducing the number of people who are being kept in institutional settings unnecessarily, by decreasing repeated hospitalizations, by better managing chronic conditions and by coordinating each individual’s overall care.
