CARE Newsletter for CARE Assessors Available Online
The Kansas Department on Aging administers the CARE Program in compliance with Federal PASRR requirements. These requirements state that each person entering a nursing facility must be assessed for mental retardation, mental illness or developmental disabilities prior to admission. The CARE Newsletter for CARE assessors is now available online. The newsletter is posted in September and March. Future CARE assessor trainings, alert information and valid proofs of PASRR are also available online.
