"Encouraging excellence" is the focus of the Kansas Hospital Education and Research Foundation's annual Hospital Employee Scholarship. In this competitive scholarship, the Foundation assists deserving individuals interested in improving their abilities to provide quality care in Kansas. Any employee of a Kansas hospital who is currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited Kansas school is invited to apply.
The KHERF Board is pleased to announce that, in addition to the six undergraduate level scholarships, three scholarships are awarded to individuals seeking a masters degree or a final certification to enable them to teach in a health care field. Scholarships will be awarded annually.
Applications are mailed to all hospital CEOs, education coordinators, human resources directors, and directors of nursing each December. Applications are due February 28. Congratulations to the previous recipients and their hospitals.
