Kansas Healthcare Education Council
The Kansas Healthcare Education Council is an organization available to persons responsible for some aspect of health care education or training in hospitals, health care organizations, academic institutions or other health-related agencies in Kansas. Their mission is to provide opportunity and resources for support, motivation and development of KaHEC members to become more competent, professional educators. As a result, they will be better able to meet education responsibilities to: members of the health care delivery system, consumers of health care, their communities and themselves. Some of the benefits offered to KaHEC members are:
- Two free continuing education programs featuring well-known speakers;
- Educational skill development;
- Professional development;
- Networking opportunities;
- District support;
- Coordinators manual; and
- Availability of KHA and American Hospital Association resources.
KaHEC usually schedules their first education program and business meeting in April. The annual membership fee for KaHEC members is $30. KaHEC had 51 members in 2005.
